Thank you for your interest volunteering with our rescue.  Please take the time to fill out this volunteer agreement completely.  After we review your information a volunteer will contact you to discuss your availability and the activities in which you have expresses interest.

The Tri State Weimaraner Rescue Inc. (hereinafter, "Rescue") is a non-profit organization
dedicated to the rescue and care of purebred Weimaraners in need of permanent, loving homes.
We are staffed entirely by volunteers who give their time and effort to providing a better life for
dogs who need our help. If you would like to share in this effort, please fill out this form and submit it prior to volunteering.

In consideration of this opportunity to volunteer/foster, I agree to the following terms and
conditions, intending to be legally bound by them. (Please read each paragraph carefully.)

1. I will abide by the mission, rules, regulations, policies and programs of the
Rescue while I am a volunteer. I agree to always conduct myself in a manner which reflects the
ideals of the Tri State Weimaraner Rescue Inc.

2. When I no longer wish to foster or volunteer, or at the Rescue's request at any
time, I will promptly return all of the Rescue's supplies, equipment, records, money and other
items in good condition.

3. I am willing to assume the risks of being injured, by cats, dogs or any other
animals I come in contact with in connection with my volunteer/foster work with the Rescue.
Neither the Rescue nor anyone associated with the Rescue is liable to me for any injuries,
damages, liabilities, losses, judgments, costs or expenses whatsoever, which I might suffer or
sustain in connection with the performance of my volunteer duties with the Rescue. I will
indemnify, defend and hold the Rescue or anyone associated with the Rescue harmless from and
against any claims, lawsuits, injuries, damages, losses, costs or expenses whatsoever, sustained
by any companion animal or any other person in connection with my volunteer/foster work with
the Rescue.

4. If I choose to foster, I agree that if the Foster Dog should get loose and/or become
lost, I will do everything in my power to retrieve/find the Foster Dog including advising the
Animal Control Officer and/or Shelter in the area the dog was lost. After doing so I will
promptly contact a Rescue Board member and advise of the situation.

5. If I choose to foster, I do understand that dogs may be unpredictable and that the
Rescue cannot guarantee that a dog they place with me will may not become aggressive or
destructive.

6. If I choose to foster, I do promise to advise a Board members immediately if
the foster dog(s) displays any form of aggression toward any individual.

7. If I choose to foster and my Foster Dog becomes ill, I promise to take him/her to
a veterinarian to assess the dog’s condition immediately. I promise to notify a Board member as
soon as possible. I understand that I will need to get the approval of the Rescue President with
regard to expenses incurred for medical treatment of any Foster Dog prior to authorizing the vet
to commence treatment.

8. If I choose to foster, I am aware that the Rescue Board ("Board") will make
the sole and controlling decision with regard to the euthanization of any dog as they deem
necessary. I understand that I will not be asked to euthanize a dog unless I feel comfortable
doing so. I agree that should euthanization become necessary and I do not feel comfortable
taking the dog to my vet to be euthanized that I will turn over the dog to a Rescue Board
member to do so.

9. If I choose to foster, I agree that whenever a rescue dog is in my possession, I
will use a crate to safely contain the dog within my home when I am away from home for
work or for any other reason unless otherwise discussed with a Rescue Board member.

10. If I choose to foster, I agree that that I will keep any dog I am fostering on a leash
or inside my home, or in my safely gated/locked yard at all times and that I will keep his/her
collar (with id tags) on the dog at all times.

11. If I choose to foster and it becomes necessary for me to go away for more than a
day, I will not leave the dog unattended. I will contact a Board Member to discuss either
kenneling or transferring the dog to another foster home until I return

12. I am willing to accept the risk that damage may occur to my vehicle during the
transporting process.

13. I am willing to accept the risk that damage may occur to my home during
the rescue dog's stay there.

14. If I choose to foster, I wiII allow other members of the Rescue access to the
foster dog for any reason at a mutually convenient time.

15. If I will be providing foster care and/or boarding any of the Rescue's dogs in my
home or business, I consent to having any potential adopters, trainers, behaviorist, etc., visit my
home or business to see and/or evaluate the dog as necessary.

16. If I choose to foster, I understand that although my opinion and experiences with
the Foster Dog will be vital to the placement of said dog, the placement and selection of a
permanent home will be at the discretion of the Placement Coordinator and/or the Rescue Board.

17. If I choose to foster, I will help in facilitating the transfer and/or placement of my
Foster Dog into a new home by allowing potential adopters to visit the dog, provide them as well
as the Placement Coordinator with any information and paperwork regarding the dog, etc. as
deemed necessary. I will not in any way prohibit or impede the adoption process or placement of
said dog in anyway.

18. If I choose to foster, I understand that even though the Foster Dog will be in my
possession and residing in my home, at all times the dog will be the property of the Tri State
Weimaraner Rescue, Inc.

19. If I choose to foster, I agree to allow the removal from my home of any dog I am
fostering at any time if deemed necessary by the Rescue Board.

20. If I choose to foster, I understand that all members of my household must
approve of having a foster dog in the house.

21. I promise to inform the Rescue Committee should any changes in my status or
information given on this application become untrue.

22. I have completed this Agreement with accuracy and truthfulness.

23. I understand and agree that the Rescue may refuse volunteer
applications for any reason.
